As Imran struggles for his political life against a no-confidence motion, 50 ministers go missing

As the important no-confidence vote approaches and political affiliations remain uncertain, at least 50 ministers from the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have gone’missing from the political front,’ according to the Express Tribune.

Since the opposition began stacking perils against Prime Minister Imran Khan, more than 50 federal and provincial ministers have not been seen in public.

25 of these ministers are federal and provincial advisers and special assistants, according to sources, while four are ministers of state, four advisers, and 19 special assistants.

The strange development comes as several PTI ministers’ utter silence fuels speculation that, like their friends, they are evaluating other options while waiting for the proper time, according to The Express Tribune.

The troubled Prime Minister, on the other hand, continues to enjoy widespread support at the federal level.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Energy Minister Hammad Azhar, Minister of Defence Pervez Khattak, and Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed are among the most outspoken defenders of Khan.

In times of crisis, however, a considerable number of federal and provincial ministers and cabinet members are notable by their absence.
