According to local media, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has set Prime Minister Imran Khan a 24-hour deadline to quit and dissolve the assembly, or face a no-trust resolution.

According to The News International, the PPP leader told the Awami March participants in Lalamusa on Monday that Imran Khan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration will be deposed by all democratic methods.

According to the PPP leader, the’selected’ (Imran Khan) has become so terrified that he has begun abusing and calling his political opponents names.

He claimed that the country has rejected the government’s economic policies and is protesting against ‘PTIMF’ (PTI + IMF), referring to the supposed relationship between the Imran Khan government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to the media site, Mr Bhutto-Zardari blamed the “puppet” Prime Minister for the country’s economic predicament, saying that the average man was drowning in a wave of inflation.

The Imran Khan government requested loans three times larger than those previously obtained, according to the PPP leader, who also stated that the people cannot bear the burden of his mistakes any longer.

“A Satan of Pindi [Sheikh Rashid Ahmed] has declared that Imran Khan will not remain at home after his dismissal, and he is correct because Imran Khan will be behind bars and held accountable in the foreign funding matter,” the publication reported the PPP leader as saying.

Meanwhile, with Pakistan still mired in a deep economic crisis, opposition parties have criticised the government’s relief measures as insufficient. They keep putting pressure on Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The opposition parties are putting aside their differences in order to depose Imran Khan’s cabinet by filing a no-confidence motion. Imran Khan, on the other hand, has expressed confidence in the motion’s failure and stated that the opposition will face consequences if it fails.
