Islamabad :  Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan threatened the opposition parties on Sunday that if they pushed him to resign, he would become even more dangerous, as he refused to make any concessions. During a live conversation with the public, Khan was asked about the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) planned long march on March 23. Khan predicted the march would be a failure.

“If I take to the streets, you (opposition parties) will have nowhere to hide,” Khan threatened, adding that if forced to stand down, he would be much more deadly. The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of almost a dozen opposition groups, was created in response to the Pakistan Army’s meddling in politics and the installation of a “puppet” Prime Minister Khan through a “rigged” election.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the president of the Pakistan Democratic Movement and the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, has said that on March 23, the opposition parties will commence a lengthy march towards Islamabad to rid the country of Imran Khan’s “incapable and illegitimate” government. Khan also attacked Shehbaz Sharif, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, and refused to speak with him.

“I’m chastised for not seeing Shehbaz, who is the Opposition Leader. But, in my opinion, he is the nation’s criminal “he stated He accused the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of avoiding corruption investigations by refusing to reply to allegations. According to Khan, the entire Sharif family would fly to London, where Nawaz Sharif and his two sons currently reside.

In response to a question on Nawaz Sharif’s prospective return, he stated, “Please return; we are waiting for you,” he remarked, but added, “He will not return.” He is a money hound.” Since November 2019, Sharif has been living in exile in the United Kingdom. He had gone to London after the Lahore High Court granted him bail for four weeks so that he could receive treatment in the United Kingdom. In a corruption case, he was serving a seven-year sentence in the Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore.

Shortly after Khan’s speech, Maryam Nawaz, a PML-N politician and Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, took to Twitter to say that Khan’s predictions that if he loses power, he will become more violent are empty threats. “(Khan) comes across as a man who has not only been defeated but has accepted his fate. He is still moaning after four years in office. The cartels you’re whining about are the MAFIAS on your right and left, who have fleeced $220 million and run your kitchen,’ Maryam tweeted.

She was probably referring to a recent devastating report from the Election Commission, which found that Khan’s ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf under-reported PKR 312 million during a four-year period, from FY 2009-10 to FY 2012-13. The year-by-year figures show that about PKR 145 million was under-reported in just FY 2012-13.

She claimed that the corruption cases brought against Sharifs by the Imran Khan government were unprovable. “Your allegations against the Sharifs and the PML-N were baseless and contrived, and they were doomed to fail. Do not blame the judges now that your reality has hit the rest of the world. You can only blame yourself for your vindictiveness and vengeance “she expressed herself via her writing “Imran Khan’s every statement today stinks of failure, crushed hopes, and a lack of faith in his or the PTI’s future. Man, it was only a matter of time before anything like this happened “she expressed herself.

Khan also remarked on his show that the country’s growing commodities prices were robbing him of a pleasant night’s sleep. When asked about the increasing inflation, he remarked, “It is the only issue that keeps me awake at night,” but quickly added that the price surge was a worldwide phenomena that even the UK and EU were experiencing.

He went into great detail about the subject of prices and his efforts to address the economic issues, including inflation, that his government had been attempting to address with a slew of policies. “My administration also spent $8 billion on the welfare of the people to offset the damage of the coronavirus,” he claimed, but he added that the amount spent was small in comparison to wealthy countries, claiming that the United States spent $6,000 billion on the welfare of its citizens.

Apart with Covid-19, he added, his government had to deal with the Afghan situation, as after the Taliban took over, dollars began to flow out of Pakistan, depreciating the rupee. Khan defended his performance by claiming that his net worth had improved while Pakistan’s GDP expanded by 5.37 percent, according to the World Bank. He attributed the increase to sound policies. He said that automobile and motorbike production was at an all-time high, that the corporate sector was profitable, and that agriculture was also doing well.
