Parvez Elahi, the chief minister of Punjab, has asked the regional authorities for a report on the occurrence. He emphasised the need to thoroughly examine the situation and find those responsible.

Separately, a passenger coaster that turned turtle on Tuesday in Sindh resulted in eight fatalities and 32 injuries.

According to reports, the tragedy in the Sukkur region of the province took place when the driver of the car lost control of it while navigating a steep turn just before arriving at the toll plaza.
