Elon Musk today announced that he is purchasing the English football club Manchester United in the wake of his failed Twitter deal, which has left the Tesla CEO embroiled in a protracted legal dispute.

To be clear, he tweeted, “I support both the right and left halves of the Republican Party. Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome, he said shortly after sending this tweet.

Even though it’s impossible to tell how seriously Musk takes his tweets, Manchester United is buzzing about this information.

Because of the club’s recent underwhelming results, Manchester United supporters have been clamouring for the Glazer family, the club’s current American owners, to be replaced.

There has been a significant response to Musk’s recent post.

A Twitter user posed the following query: “What makes you so sure he’ll make a purchase? …or simply blathering on.”

Another poster took a jab at Musk and mentioned the deal that fell through while making reference to the legal dispute the Tesla CEO was having over Twitter.

“Man, I promise you don’t want it. Without conducting any due diligence, this individual signed a contract to purchase Twitter for USD 44 billion and later came to regret it. Resigned and is being sued, “a user commented.

Elon Musk and Twitter are now engaged in a legal dispute over a failed takeover attempt that Twitter now wants to push through.

The microblogging platform and the richest man in the world are now headed to court after Musk sought to back out of his agreement to purchase Twitter due to what he claims is a misrepresentation of bogus accounts on the site.

Twitter is attempting to persuade Musk to complete the agreement while also charging him with undermining it because it no longer suited his needs.
