A motorcycle driven by a suicide bomber collided with a police truck in southwest Pakistan on Monday, murdering nine officers, according to a police spokesman.

Attack occurred in Sibbi, a city about 160 kilometers (100 miles) east of Quetta, the capital of the Balochistan region, according to spokesman Mehmood Khan Notizai to Reuters.

The latest in a string of attacks in Pakistan targeting police officers left at least 7 policemen injured, according to hospital authorities.

The assault on Monday has not yet been assigned a perpetrator. Baloch ethnic guerrillas have been at odds with the government for decades, accusing it of plundering the rich gas and mineral riches of Balochistan.
