A woman claims she received a strange message from a hiring manager calling her a “piece of crap.” She shared a screenshot of the text message she received on TikTok, which sparked outrage on the internet. According to The Independent, the woman, identified as Jasmine, posted the video on Saturday. “I applied for a job, and this is how they responded,” her TikTok video caption read. “Hey Jasmine, I’m just following up on our paper documents appointment from Monday, are you still interested in this role you piece of crap?” read the message in the screenshot. Jasmine had been discussing an opportunity with the recruiter, and they texted her to see if she was still interested. Her post about the text message she received has received over a million views. The human resources representative, according to Jasmine, blamed the error on a typo, but she isn’t buying it. According to the New York Post, she said in the video, “They really had the audacity to say it was a misspelled word.'”

Jasmine stated in a separate comment that she declined the job offer due to the pay.

Users, on the other hand, were not entirely convinced by Jasmine’s version of events. Some of them stood up for the recruiter.
According to the Post, one user comments, “I bet they were using voice to text.”

“I’m sure she was using voice to text while driving, working, or doing something else, and something went wrong. There’s no way she was talking about you “another user stated

“Gen Z HR be like,” one person said.

This is not the first time a blunder like this has been documented on social media. Last month, a TikTok user told The Independent that he was rejected from a job as a barista after being accidentally copied into a company email.
