A blast on the Quetta-bound Jaffar Express on Thursday left at least two people dead and four more injured, according to ARY News from Pakistan.

When the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express was crossing the Chichawatni railway station, the explosion took place.

Two people were killed and at least four others were injured in the explosion, which, according to sources, took place in bogie number six of the economy class of the Jaffar Express, according to ARY News, which also noted that the injured were taken to a local hospital.

The Jaffar Express has reported on a similar occurrence twice before, including this one.

According to ARY News, on January 30, a blast near the Mach region in the Kachhi district of Balochistan targeted the Jaffar Express, injuring at least eight people and derailing two of the train’s bogeys.

According to railroad authorities, the train was attacked as it traveled from Mach to Peshawar close to the Sibi railway station.

According to the Dawn, which cited rescue personnel, an explosion recently caused at least five injuries close to the Quetta Police Lines area of Pakistan.

The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital in Quetta, according to Edhi worker Zeeshan Ahmed, who was leading the rescue efforts on the scene.

Ahmed stated that police and emergency personnel had arrived at the scene and that the area had been cordoned off.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) also claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the report.

According to the Dawn, the group claimed that security officials were targeted in the explosion.
