WASHINGTON — During his news conference, President Joe Biden revealed a nighttime raid in northwestern Syria that killed Islamic State leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi and sent a strong warning to America’s enemies.

During a midnight raid, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi killed himself and numerous others family members, according to Joe Biden.

Joe Biden thanked military forces for their “immense courage,” and said al-Qurayshi killed several members of his family in a “final act of cowardice” by blowing up the third floor of his building “rather than face justice.”

Before leaving his lectern without accepting questions, the US President believes the operation sent a strong message to America’s enemies, telling terrorists around the world, “we will come after you.”

Later in his speech, the President concluded by giving a warning to America’s enemies.

According to reports, at least 13 individuals were died as a result of an American airdrop into the area, including six children and four women.

According to NBC, a military chopper had a maintenance issue during the mission and landed a mile away from the target, where it was detonated since it was considered unsafe to resume.

After his predecessor, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was died in a US attack in the same territory earlier that month, al-Qurayshi succeeded over as ISIS leader in October 2019.
