After sustaining a major brain damage in a vehicle accident in Los Angeles last week, US star Anne Heche is “not expected to live,” according to US media. Heche, 53, had a “serious anoxic brain damage” as a result of the catastrophic collision, according to a statement from a spokesperson cited by many sites on Thursday. She had long made the decision to donate her organs, and according to the statement, she is being maintained on life support while tests are done to see whether any of them are viable. It also expressed gratitude to Heche’s supporters and the medical staff at West Hills Hospital’s Grossman Burn Center who were tending to her. The statement said, “Anne had a big heart and impacted everyone she encountered with her kind nature.

“Beyond her remarkable skill, she considered her life’s mission as spreading kindness and joy, especially by promoting acceptance of who you love. She will be missed much for her light and will be remembered for her brave honesty.”

Heche’s automobile collision with a two-story house in the Mar Vista area on August 5 caused “structural compromise and… significant fire” at the site, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, and Heche has remained unconscious ever since.

According to the agency, it took 59 firemen 65 minutes to confine and completely put out the succeeding fire.

Heche’s blood will be tested, Los Angeles police said in a statement on Thursday. Investigators planned to “submit this case to the proper prosecuting authority,” but they did not name a crime.

The same day, local media stated that initial testing had revealed narcotics to be present, albeit additional research was required to confirm the drugs had not been given during her treatment.

Heche tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl, the latter of which is occasionally used for pain management in therapeutic settings, according to the celebrity gossip website TMZ, which cited anonymous police sources.

I Know What You Did Last Summer, Donnie Brasco, and Six Days, Seven Nights are just a few of the 1990s films in which Heche featured.

In 1991, Heche received a Daytime Emmy for her performance in the soap opera “Another World,” for which she is as well-known.
She had a prominent connection with talk show star Ellen DeGeneres in the 1990s.
