A wild crash in the US saw an out-of-control car almost hit an officer

The internet is exploding with videos of a horrible car accident that occurred during a routine traffic stop by US police officers. In the unsettling footage, which was captured on the police dashcam in Fairfax County, Virginia, an out-of-control car is shown swerving across a median and slamming into a parked vehicle while an officer is conducting a traffic check.

On its Facebook page, the police agency uploaded the horrifying video along with a brief description that included more information.

 

“On May 1 at 11:38 a.m., a patrol officer was conducting a routine traffic check on a grey 2012 BMW 750 Series on the Fairfax County Parkway heading south before Braddock Rd. The 17-year-old driver of a black 2018 BMW M3 lost control of the vehicle while it was moving quickly north on Fairfax County Parkway. The officer’s car was hit first, then the community member’s car, after the BMW turned back and crossed the median. According to the Fairfax County Police Department, the officer was struck and was almost fatally injured.

According to the police official, the adult driver of the BMW 750 Series who was pulled over for a traffic violation was taken to the hospital with minor injuries that were not life-threatening and has since been released. The policeman suffered only minor wounds. The young BMW M3 driver and both passengers suffered minor wounds. Reckless driving was alleged against the minor.

“We are glad that no one was hurt in this collision. This serves as a poignant reminder that anything can happen in life. The onus of safe driving and arrival is with the driver. According to the police department, parents and guardians should think about utilising this film as a chance to talk with their teen drivers about how their driving habits can effect other people’s lives.
