Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was granted three-week transit bail on June 2, will be apprehended by security forces stationed outside his Bani Gala home, according to the country’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
Imran Khan was granted three-week transit bail by the Peshawar High Court on June 2 in exchange for a 50,000 Pakistani rupee surety bond, ahead of the PTI’s second long march to Islamabad.
According to The News International, Imran Khan has been charged in over two dozen counts, including rioting, sedition, disorder, and armed attacks at the federation.
The Minister stated that once Imran Khan’s protective bail expires, security personnel stationed outside his Bani Gala mansion will arrest him.
According to the journal, he questioned, “How does one become the leader of a political party in a democratic nation who incites people and has full disdain for moral and democratic ideals, calling his opponents traitors?”
Imran Khan is being welcomed to Islamabad, according to the Interior Minister, who also stated that he will be given protection in accordance with the law.
Security surrounding Bani Gala has been tightened up, according to Islamabad police late Saturday night, in anticipation of Imran Khan’s expected return from Peshawar.
“Security around Bani Gala has been increased and placed on high alert,” police added, referring to PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s planned visit.
