Amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Russian television personality Vladimir Solovyov recently urged that Russia invade the United Kingdom next, stating he’d want to see Moscow capture Stonehenge.

According to The Independent, Mr Solovyov, who has close relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and is known as “Putin’s mouthpiece,” has stated that Russia may invade Britain and target UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss. On his Russia-1 programme, Evening with Vladimir Solovyov, the anchorman warned that Russia’s invasion may reach Stonehenge, an English historic landmark located in Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire.

When asked how far Russia would be willing to go before stopping by Ukrainian political expert Vasil Vakarov, Mr Solovyov said, “Well, when we have to, we will.”

“Where are we going to stop? As I mentioned earlier, perhaps Stonehenge. Liz Truss claims to be the one fighting the battle “According to Mr Solovyov, as stated by the Independent. Furthermore, Mr Solovyov allegedly stated that the Kremlin leader should launch an attack on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

Because of her unwillingness to compromise with Mr. Putin, UK Foreign Secretary Lizz Truss has been at conflict with Russian media. Ms Truss even told G7 and NATO leaders in Germany last month that Putin was “humiliating himself on the world stage.” “We must ensure he meets a setback in Ukraine that denies him any profit and ultimately constrains any actions,” she told Newsweek.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Russian state television has threatened the United Kingdom or Europe in general. Back in April, Mr. Solovyov threatened the United Kingdom with nuclear annihilation using the Sarmat, a Russian ballistic missile. According to Newsweek, he added on his show, “One Sarmat implies minus one Great Britain because they’ve grown absolutely rude.”

Separately, former Russian MP Yuri Shvytkin said that Moscow could destroy “the entire UK in two minutes” with nuclear weapons.
