As of 9:10 p.m., Oswego County dispatch informed CNY Central that agencies from Oneida, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego counties were all responding.

Sylvan Beach Fire Chief Rick Johnson told CNY Central’s Tony Black that they received a call at 8:34 p.m. from a boat that was sinking and then lost contact. They couldn’t pinpoint a location or even how many people were on the boat. For the search, there is a point area under the Route 13 bridge in Sylvan Beach and another on the lake’s western shore in Cleveland. According to Fire Chief Johnson, crews are attempting to pinpoint the phone’s last known location.
