Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky today said that he is in Kyiv and is not afraid. The response comes amid the Russian troops exacerbating shelling in several Ukrainian cities. Russian forces are closing in on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv from the north and west.
“I’m still in Kyiv. Bankova Street is the location. I’m not running away. And I’m not afraid of anyone, either “Zelensky stated this in a video posted to his official Instagram account.

He stated that he would go to any length to “win this patriotic war.”

Volodymyr Zelensky, a former comedian, was elected president of Ukraine just in time to witness the most serious standoff between the Kremlin and Western powers since the Cold War ended more than three decades ago.

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began two weeks ago, the 44-year-old leader has reportedly escaped three assassination attempts. According to reports, the plots were thwarted after Ukrainian officials were made aware of them.

Russia announced on Monday the establishment of corridors to evacuate civilians from under-attack Ukrainian cities. Ukraine, on the other hand, refused to evacuate civilians to Russia, despite the fact that four of Moscow’s six proposed corridors led to Russia or its ally Belarus.

President Zelensky has also accused the Russian army of attacking fleeing civilians.

“A deal was reached on humanitarian corridors. Did it work? Russian tanks, Grads (multiple rocket launchers), and mines were used in its place “According to Zelensky.
