Russian Navy and Aerospace Forces crews, Strategic Missile Forces combat squads, and doctors are the first in line to receive Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19, said Maj Gen Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Defense Ministry.

According to Konashenkov, 14,500 vaccines have been received by the Ministry of Defense. Over 10,000 soldiers have already been vaccinated and the vaccine should be given to around 100,000 soldiers by the end of the year.

“Doctors planning to leave for military service, Navy vessel crews, Russian Aerospace Forces flight personnel, Strategic Missile Forces combat crews and all-tier command posts, and army unit commanders are the first in line to receive the vaccine,” Konashenkov said.
