1. The Indian Navy stands in the seventh position when it comes to the strongest maritime force on the planet. Till now, the force has 150 submarines and ships along with 300 aircraft. There are 67,252 active and 55,000 reserve personnel in service.

2. The Indian Navy has its anti-ship cruise missile, BrahMos which is the world’s fastest operational system. Its range is nearly 450 km.

3. MARCOS known as Marine Commando Force was founded in 1987. It is trained and equipped well to carry out operations in all environments – at sea, on land, and in air. The force is known for its professionalism.

4.Sagar Pawan was founded in 2003. This is one of the only two naval aerobatic teams in the world and the seconf being the Blue Angels of US Navy.

5. The Indian Navy has completed successful expeditions to Mount Everest in 2004, the South Pole in 2006, and the North Pole in 2008.

6. During Indo-Pakistani War, 1971, The Indian Navy carried out two-large-scale naval attacks – Operation Trident and Operation Python – on Pakistan’s port city of Karachi. It has a great role during the war.
