Washington : An American Airlines flight from Miami to London was diverted in the middle of the flight on Thursday because a passenger refused to wear a Covid mask, according to the airline.

According to the airline, “a disruptive customer who refused to comply with the federal mask requirement forced American Airlines flight 38 from Miami to London to return to MIA.”

When the Boeing 777 arrived in Miami with 129 passengers and a 14-person crew, cops were ready.

According to a police official, when the plane landed, authorities removed that passenger off the plane without incident.

This traveller has been placed on a list of those who are forbidden from travelling with American Airlines pending further inquiry, according to the company.
