Outside Vice President Kamala Harris’ official residence, the US Naval Observatory, in Washington, DC, police detained a Texas man with a rifle and ammunition seized from his car on Wednesday (local time).

CNN confirmed that officers responded at 12:12 p.m. to the 3400 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW in response to a suspicious individual who was arrested by the US Secret Service based on an intelligence bulletin that originated in Texas, according to a spokesperson for the Washington Metropolitan Police Department.

The suspect Paul Murray, 31, was approached by law enforcement after a region-wide intelligence alert was released for him. A rifle and ammunition were also found in his car, according to the police.

Murray is facing multiple charges, including carrying a dangerous weapon outside of a company, possessing unregistered weapons, and possessing a high-capacity ammunition feeding system, according to CNN.

According to the US Secret Service, officers from the Uniformed Division had arrested the man before the Metropolitan Police arrived.
