Heather Morris has a new tattoo in memory of her former co-star Naya Rivera, one year after her death.

Morris, who co-starred with Rivera in the iconic musical television series “Glee,” paid tribute to her late friend on Instagram on Thursday, calling him “the brightest star in my eyes.”

“Writing a caption hasn’t become much easier,” Morris, 34, wrote. “I’m very thankful that GOD HELPED US AND BRINGED US TOGETHER AS BEST FRIENDS, MOM FRIENDS, SCREEN PARTNERS, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. In my opinion, your legacy continues on in kindness and being “that feisty queen.” Bebe baby, I’ll always love you.”

Morris also uploaded a video of herself receiving a tattoo, in addition to a photo of Rivera. The final photo in her post shows the new tattoo on her left forearm that reads “tomorrow is not guaranteed.”

Rivera’s final tweet inspired the tattoo. Rivera tweeted a selfie a few days before she vanished, with the caption: “Every day you’re alive is a blessing, regardless of the year, scenario, or struggles. Make the most of today, and every day that comes your way. Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring.”

Rivera vanished from a boat she leased while out on a Southern California lake with her then-4-year-old son Josey on the one-year anniversary of her abduction. The actress’ body was discovered at the lake and identified by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office several days later. The 33-year-old actress died of unintentional drowning, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.

According to the “Glee” star’s death certificate, Rivera was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on July 24, 2020. According to the news sites, the paper also claims that the actress died within minutes and that no other major factors contributed to her death.

One year after her death, we remember Naya Rivera’s best ‘Glee’ moments.

Morris posted a sad video on Instagram the following month, mourning Rivera and honouring the duo’s famed onscreen romance.

“I want you to know that we are all here with you,” Morris said in the video to fans. “I want you to know that grieving looks different on everyone, and I want you to be kind and kind to yourself during this time.” “I believe that many of you may feel extremely far away, and I hope that this letter will help you feel more connected.”

She went on to say: “I’ve been feeling a lot of weight recently. My heart has been longing to connect with my fans, to connect with everyone who has been feeling a little lost and bewildered during this time.”

Naya Rivera, a former ‘Glee’ castmate, was described by Jane Lynch as a ‘force of nature.’
