2,100 high school kids were recently transported by bus from their schools in the US to what they believed to be a college and career expo. Instead, they were brought to a church, split up into their respective genders, and given two very distinct experiences. Newsweek reports that on Tuesday, high school students from all around Louisiana attended a “College & Career Fair” at the Living Faith Christian Center. In this case, it is claimed that the schoolgirls were informed about “forgiving the culprit” in rape cases. Parents who complained about the program claimed that their daughters felt “duped” into going to an event where they were “proselytized over and prayed over.”

Brittney Byrant, a biology teacher at Woodlawn High who has a student there, reportedly protested about the “gender-segregated” speeches for boys and girls, according to an article in Newsweek that cited the regional newspaper The Advocate. Three ladies, according to Ms. Bryant, who talked about “rape and forgiving the offender, death, prayer leadership and many other dark problematic themes,” dressed the girls.

The biology instructor asserted that her transgender son, who self-identifies as a man, was initially prevented from leaving the “ladies speak” as well. Other children allegedly threw water on top of transgender students’ heads without any consequences from the adults present, according to Ms. Bryant.

The majority of pupils, according to Ms. Budyach, were traumatised by the incident in addition to being disappointed by it.
