A woman in the United States has been charged with murder after allegedly following and running over a man she claimed was her boyfriend with her car. Gaylyn Morris, 26, was apprehended in Indianapolis after following Andre Smith into a bar and tracking him with an Apple AirTag. According to police, she accused him of trying to cheat at the bar and then ran him over and with her car.

Ms Morris told a witness she was Andre Smith’s girlfriend and that she had followed him because she suspected him of cheating on her. A testimony even told the news outlet that she planned to assault her with an empty wine bottle if she saw him with another woman. Mr Smith, on the other hand, intervened after she attempted to attack the woman with a bottle, and employees at the bar inquired all three parties involved to leave.

Another witness told Fox News that Ms Morris “pulled forward and clipped the victim (Smith), and he fell down, at which time… (Morris) then backed over him and then managed to pull forward as well as hit him for the third time.” A police affidavit also reflects this. Other witnesses claim that Ms Morris got out of the car to assault the other woman, who was still waiting for her food order at the time, but local police had already arrived on the scene.

The local coroner’s office also confirmed that Mr Smith died as a direct result of being deliberately run over.
