A custom car workshop has revealed a breathtaking matt-black Rolls Royce Phantom with six wheels. The car was built by Danton Arts Kustoms, which is run by Frenchman Alexandre Danton and is based on the 2005 Phantom. Ms Danton hopes to sell his massive formation for five million euros ($5.2 million), according to Ladbible.
Mr Danton has been modifying cars at his chateau in France for nearly two decades. He apparently spent three months disassembling and reassembling the masterpiece. He re-leathed the seats, added crocodile leather to the steering wheel, and even encased the armrest in snakeskin, according to Ladbible. Also, there are gold-plated brake calipers to contrast with the car’s matte black finish.
Mr. Danton extended the Phantom on the outside by using the shell and rear axle of a 2005 BMW seven series, the latter willing to accommodate the extra wheels. The vehicle also has a roof rack, a yellow light bar, and additional side steps.
The power for this Rolls Royce Phantom 6×6 comes from the 2005 model’s 6.8-litre V-12 engine, according to the automotive website HotCars. According to the outlet, Mr Danton made no mechanical changes to the standard Phantom engine, though a non-standard gold leaf includes the engine.
Meanwhile, Mr Danton is well-known for his customised automobiles. He specialises in hot rod building. His work includes a 1971 Porsche 911T with a 6.75-litre Bentley V8 engine swapped in, and a 1970 Lamborghini Espada energised by a new V12 engine from Sant’ Agata Bolognese.
