Intriguingly, a secret letter from Queen Elizabeth II is locked up in a vault in Sydney and won’t be able to be opened for another 63 years! The letter was sent by her in November 1986 and is addressed to the residents of Sydney, according to 7NEWS Australia, who discovered it within a vault in a historic building in Sydney. The letter is reportedly concealed inside a glass case in a secure area, so no one, not even the Queen’s personal staff, is informed of what it says. But one thing is certain: it can’t be unlocked until 2085.

“On an appropriate day to be decided by you in the year 2085 A.D, will you kindly open this package and transmit to the people of Sydney my message to them,” the directive to the Lord Mayor of Sydney says.
