A woman riding sidesaddle on a two-wheeler in Malaysia narrowly avoided death when a coconut fell on her. The incident occurred on Jalan Teluk Kumbar on Sunday, and the video has since gone viral. The fact that the woman was wearing protective gear saved her life. The 28-second video, which was posted on Reddit, was captured on the dashcam of a car following the two-wheeler. According to local media reports, the scooter was travelling from Teluk Kumbar to George Town.
The pillion rider is seen falling from the vehicle and spinning on the road before coming to a halt after the basket ball-sized coconut hits her head. The helmet was also thrown to the ground as a result of the impact.
As seen in the video, the car the behind two-wheeler comes to a complete stop. The other woman, who was driving the scooter, quickly stops and parks it by the side of the road before rushing to help her injured friend, according to the video.

Several locals and bystanders are also seen quickly springing into action, alerting other motorists to slow down.
According to local media, the woman was hustled to a local hospital and is now recovering.

Azrul Mahathir Aziz, a local politician, decided to post about the incident on Facebook and recognised the woman as Puan Anita from his constituency, Taman Emas.

Mr Aziz also stated that he rushed to the scene of the accident and demanded that the appropriate agencies take immediate action.

Authorities will cut the coconut trees that are dangerously bent towards the road, he said in a separate Facebook post.

Mr Aziz stated that he had contacted the victim’s children, who are with her at the Penang Hospital.
