Ned Price, a spokesman for the US Secretary of State, said in a press conference on Friday that the US has been discussing Russia’s assault against Ukraine with allies and partners throughout the globe, including India.

“Regarding Russia’s brutal aggression on Ukraine, we are in constant communication with all of our friends and allies throughout the globe. India unquestionably has a role in that. The international community has realised how crucial it is to hold Russia accountable for the crimes it has committed and the damage its forces are wreaking in Ukraine “Observed Ned Price.

The war that Russia is waging against Ukraine, according to Ned Price, has an impact on nations all across the world. He asserted that India and the United States are both committed to maintaining a rules-based, sovereign, and territorially intact international system.

As Ned Price put it: “Regarding what we can do to make Russia responsible for its actions and to punish it financially for its war, we have been in frequent contact with India. We may not always adhere to the same exact policy ideas, but we are both devoted to upholding a rules-based international system that respects sovereign and territorial integrity.”

Also from him: “Our international strategic alliance with India is built around this. It is the core of what we aim to do with Quad and the other bilateral and multilateral work we carry out with India and Indian partners.” The restoration of peace in Ukraine is “important,” he claimed, and the US concurs with India.

Price remarked in the news conference: “The need for a lasting peace in Ukraine is crucial, and we wholeheartedly concur with India on this point. President Zelenskyy delivered the same message at the G20.” He said that “today’s era is not a time of conflict,” as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said. The US concurs.

“India’s assistance to the Ukrainian people is appreciated. Indian calls for an early halt to Russia’s cruel conflict against Ukraine as well as humanitarian aid have been made. We also wholeheartedly concur with Prime Minister Modi’s claim that the world now is not a time of conflict. That was, of course, the statement that was repeated during the G20. That statement was also made in the UN, “Added Ned Price.

Price stressed that India might be able to contribute to the peace process in Ukraine, adding, “We do feel that nations like India, countries with ties to Russia and Ukraine may be in a position to help bring about conversation and diplomacy that could one day put an end to this war.”

The US is still holding Russia accountable for its war on Ukraine, according to Ned Price. He expressed hope that when Russia is ready to engage in “real discussion and diplomacy” that results in peace, nations like India would have a role to play.

“In the same way that we keep pressing Russia and its highest-ranking officials for explanations on this horrific conflict. In the end, we hope that Moscow will alter its perspective and recognise that this conflict has been and will continue to be a strategic disaster, and that Moscow will then become more interested in genuine conversation and genuine diplomacy that leads to a just and permanent peace. We are optimistic that at that point, countries like India may have a special role to play, and we welcome that “Included Ned Price.
