Vladimir Putin has constantly astounded people throughout the world with choices such as annexing Crimea and bombing Syrian anti-government rebels. Experts have constructed a psychological profile of the leader based on his every word, gesture, and movement. He made no secret of his desire to reassert Russian authority and prevent Ukraine from joining NATO, which is dominated by the West. Putin started the invasion on February 24, claiming to “denazify” Ukraine.

Since Soviet tyrant Joseph Stalin died in 1953, he has remained in power since the year 2000, making him Russia’s longest-serving leader.

The Russian Parliament has passed a constitutional revision that will allow Mr Putin to extend his current fourth term in office beyond 2024.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is frequently likened to unsavoury individuals such as Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gadhafi, and even Adolf Hitler, with Ukrainians posting memes comparing the German dictator to Putin.

His detractors claim that Mr Putin’s worldview was formed during the Soviet era. Mr Putin, a former KGB spy, advanced quickly through the ranks as the Soviet Union crumbled. Experts think he aims to recreate the Soviet Union through the invasion of Crimea and the attack on Ukraine.

“He has a reptile appearance, which is a cornerstone to the psychopathic profile,” forensic psychologist and specialist Javier Urra told Spanish newspaper Marca.

“It (Putin’s personality) reminds you of a child who knows he is not loved and that others fear him,” he continued. “This is why we see all those photographs of him without a shirt or enjoying sports.”

The COVID-19 vaccination, which is widely distributed in Russia, is also known as Sputnik, after the Soviet Sputnik satellite of the 1950s.

Putin wants to be the one who, during his presidency, draws Ukraine back into Russia’s orbit, according to Fiona Hill, a senior intelligence officer and policy adviser who most recently served in the Trump administration. “In terms of what’s feasible for him,” Hill concluded, “he may remain president till 2036.”

The fall of the Soviet Union was dubbed “the greatest geopolitical calamity of the twentieth century” by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He famously referred to Ukraine as Russia’s “crown jewel” in a speech in 2015, stoking fears among US intelligence agencies that he is planning to seize the country.

Mr. Putin was born in the Soviet Union’s Leningrad in 1952, the third and youngest of three children. Mr Putin’s two brothers, according to the Jerusalem Post, died as infants before he was born. According to the publication, he performed several violent acts as a child, but his aggression was eventually turned into sport by mastering judo.

Mr Putin has been branded a “war criminal” by US President Joe Biden for plunging Ukraine into instability, and the US has imposed harsh sanctions on important Russian businessmen. Mr Putin, on the other hand, was spared.

He has so far defied international pressure and ignored Western diplomatic efforts to settle the conflict in Ukraine. His every step is once again being scrutinised by the rest of the globe.
