Today’s major American media applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for informing Russian President Vladimir Putin that a war in Ukraine is not necessary at this time.

The mainstream American media covered the conversation between Vladimir Putin and Narendra Modi that took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

“(Prime Minister) Modi rebukes Putin for the Ukraine war,” according to The Washington Post. According to the US newspaper, Modi chastised Putin in front of the entire world, saying, “Today’s era is not one of war, and I have spoken to you about this on the phone.”

The infrequent rebuke revealed the 69-year-old Russian strongman was facing extreme pressure from all directions, according to the Washington Post.
