President Donald Trump claimed, days before the official certification of the November 3 US presidential election in favour of his Democratic opponent Joe Biden, that he would continue to hold the position as he had won the elections. In the presidential polls, Trump has made unsubstantiated claims about widespread voter fraud and electoral malpractice.

Any such fraud was denied by state election officials and the media. As he received more than the required 270 of the 538 electoral college votes, election officials declared Biden as the President-elect.

Elections are officially scheduled for next week to be certified. Nevertheless, Trump continues his legal attempts to upend Biden’s victory. He has allowed the official beginning of the transition of Biden to power but has not conceded defeat yet. In several states, the Trump campaign has filed multiple lawsuits, most of which have been dismissed so far.

Hopefully, the next administration will be the Trump administration, a continuation that has led us to the highest stock markets we’ve ever had the best job numbers we’ve ever had a reconstructed military, Trump told reporters during a vaccine summit at the White House on Tuesday. Trump responded to a question as to why he did not invite members of the Biden transition team to a meeting to discuss his plans to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine in the United States.

Because we won in those swing states, and there were awful things going on we’re going to have to see who the next administration is. So we’ll have to see who the next administration is then. But whatever the next administration is, what we have been able to do with this incredible science, the doctors, all of the people who came up, the laboratory technicians, will really benefit. The work that has been done is amazing, and it will be amazing, he said, for the next administration.

And hopefully, the next administration will be the Trump administration, because hundreds of thousands of votes cannot be stolen from you. You can’t have fraud and deception and all the things they’ve done and then win a swing state slightly. And you’ve got to just look at the numbers. Look at what’s on the tape here. Look at all the bribery. And we are going to see. The President said that you can’t win an election like that.

Trump said he was “rewarded” with a victory due to the great work he did. Now let’s see if someone has the courage or not, whether it’s a legislator or a legislature, or whether it’s a Supreme Court justice or a number of Supreme Court justices. Let’s see if, he said, they have the courage to do what everyone in this country knows is right. The president said he had received nearly 75 million votes, the highest number of votes for a sitting president in the history of the country, which is 12 million more than the 63 million votes he had received four years ago.

In his second term, President (Barack) Obama received $3 million less and he won easily. I got another 12 million, which by the way, is a record. Twelve million more… I know who the next administration will be if anyone has the courage. I’ll tell you what: because of what we’ve done right now and because of a lot of the people in this room, life is going to be a lot easier for this country. Together with a lot of others the work you’ve done on the vaccine has been a modern-day miracle, and it has really been recognised as such,’ Trump said.
