Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday for announcing that the government would repeal three farm regulations enacted by the Centre. Modi stated on Friday that the government has decided to remove the three farm rules that have been the subject of farmer protests for the past year.

I am confident that the central government will continue to collaborate on Kisani’s growth! Singh tweeted, “#NoFarmers NoFood @AmitShah.”

The prime minister said the three farm legislation were for the benefit of farmers, but that despite his best efforts, he couldn’t persuade a segment of farmers.

According to him, the three agricultural laws were intended to empower farmers, particularly small farms.

In a tweet, Singh stated, “I am confident that the central government and Kisani NoFarmersNoFood AmitShah will continue to work together for the development of Kisani NoFarmersNoFood.” The three farm laws, the prime minister remarked in a speech to the country on Guru Nanak Jayanti, were for the benefit of farmers, but despite our best efforts, we were unable to convince a segment of farmers. According to him, the three agricultural laws were intended to empower farmers, particularly small farms.
