Afghanistan has displaced 6,35,000 people this year, according to the UN

According to UN humanitarian agencies, 6,35,000 individuals have been forced to flee their homes in Afghanistan this year due to violence, with more than 12,000 lately evacuated to Kabul, primarily from Panjshir Province.

According to a press statement from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the international organisation and its partners reached 8 million people in the first half of 2021.

According to the Xinhua news agency, 1,300 displaced individuals in Kabul are about to get assistance.

The UN Refugee Agency and the International Organization for Migration, according to the office, provided assistance to more than 9,300 persons affected by the conflict in Kunar Province.

According to OCHA, the World Food Programme will give food rations to hundreds of thousands of people throughout the lean months of October to January next year. Food help will be sent to 63,000 persons in Maidan Wardak province.

In the humanitarian response, healthcare is also a top priority.

At least 29 children were affected by a measles outbreak in Badakhshan province’s Yawan and Raghistan districts, according to the office.

According to the World Health Organization, a new Polymerase chain reaction machine with a capacity of 70 to 90 tests per day was installed at Nimroz Provincial Hospital. Coronavirus testing may now be done at a much higher rate.
