On Friday evening, Johnson was seen leaving London’s St Thomas’ Hospital’s Gassiot House Outpatient Centre after getting his first dose.

Johnson was diagnosed with COVID-19 last year and will seek treatment at St Thomas’ Hospital in April 2020.

Meanwhile, CNN announced that German Chancellor Angela Merkel said she would get the AstraZeneca vaccine and that the government’s slogan for fighting the coronavirus pandemic is “vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate.”

The news comes after a temporary pause in the delivery of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines in many European countries due to concerns regarding blood clot formation.
