Since 2008, World Sleep Day has been observed on the eve of the Spring Equinox. It was founded by a group of medical professionals with the primary goal of raising awareness about the significance of good sleeping habits. The World Sleep Society was founded by these medical professionals.
The World Sleep Society collaborates with various news organizations to help them spread the word and report on the effects of sleep on daily life. This year’s theme and slogan are “Quality Sleep, Sound Mind, Happy World.”
