Former President Donald Trump said Monday night that his political groups raised more than $51 million in the second half of last year, helping to boost his war chest to a staggering $122 million.

Trump’s most recent fundraising haul is a decrease from the first half of last year when his numerous groups raised a total of $82 million from January to June of 2021.

The $82 million figure revealed by Trump’s team for the first half of last year might have included transferred money gathered in the last weeks of 2020, albeit the exact amount moved from the previous year is unknown.

Trump’s war fund puts him in an unusually strong position ahead of the 2022 midterm elections and a potential presidential candidacy in 2024.

The Republican National Committee also stated that it will have $56.3 million in cash on hand by the end of December 2021.

Trump’s Save America political action committee claimed in a news statement Monday that the $51 million was raised by the former president’s various organizations between July 1 and December 31, 2021.

According to the statement, the average gift Trump got amongst his committees was $31, with a total of 1,631,648 donations.

Notably, Trump does not appear to be distributing the majority of his money just yet. Trump claims that despite having over $122 million in cash on hand, his PACs have only contributed $1.35 million to “like-minded charities and favored politicians.”

According to Save America’s filing, $1 million of the donation went to the nonprofit Conservative Partnership Institute, which is managed by a number of Trump’s close friends, including Mark Meadows, Jim DeMint, and Ed Corrigan.

According to the filing, Save America spent a large portion of its money in the latter half of 2021 on Facebook ads, payroll, and consulting fees for various firms, including $1.5 million paid to Tim Unes’ firm Event Methodologies and $60,000 paid to former Trump campaign advisor Brad Parscale’s firm Parscale Strategy. According to the petition, more than $240,000 was also spent on legal fees.
