All eyes were on Eileen Gu of China on Thursday night ET at the 2022 Winter Olympics, when she earned another gold medal, this time in the women’s Freeski halfpipe. She previously won gold in big air and silver in slopestyle at these Olympics.
The second men’s hockey semifinal, between the Russian Olympic Committee team and Sweden, as well as the first two runs of the two-woman bobsled competition, will take place on Friday AM ET. The United States has two medal contenders.

Elana Meyers Taylor and Kaillie Humphries, who won gold and silver in the monobob, will pilot sleds against one other. Humphries won the two-woman event for Canada in 2010 and 2014, while Meyers Taylor has won silver in the event in the previous two Olympics. We’ll be providing live updates from the action here:
Gu, one of just two women to compete in all three Freeski events in Beijing, won her third medal and second gold on the halfpipe in the Olympics’ final women’s Freeski event. She is the first freeskier to win three medals in a single Game. Gu promised more for the finals after the qualification, and she didn’t disappoint. With a first-run score of 93.25, she seized the lead. However, on her second run, she improved on her first-hit 900 by adding more spins and technicality, including back-to-back alley-oop flat spins for her last two hits.
