Britney Spears gets engaged with a ring inscribed with the word "lioness."

Britney Spears announced her engagement to boyfriend Sam Asghari on Sunday with an ecstatic Instagram image showing a diamond ring with the word “lioness” engraved on it.

The news comes only days after her father filed a petition to remove the 13-year court conservatorship over the singer’s life and finances.

“I can’t (expletive) believe it!” she wrote.

” with an Instagram video in which she winks, kisses a beaming Asghari on the cheek, and responds with a resounding “yes!”

When he asks if she loves the ring, she says, “Yes.”

Asghari shared a snapshot of Spears flashing her ring finger to the camera of his own.

The four-carat diamond ring is carved inside the band with the word “lioness,” which is his nickname for her, according to the business Forever Diamonds NY.

In 2016, the couple met on the set of the music video for “Slumber Party.”

During an impassioned petition to end the conservatorship, the singer told a judge in June that she wanted to marry Asghari and have a child with him, but that she hadn’t been allowed to remove an intrauterine device for birth control or even drive with him.

Spears is legally allowed to marry, but as with all important life decisions, the conservatorship must approve it.

Spears was formerly married to Kevin Federline, with whom she has two sons, ages 14 and 15, and with whom she has two sons, ages 14 and 15. In 2004, she married childhood friend Jason Alexander for a short time.
