Reham Khan, the former wife of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, claims that on Sunday night, unidentified individuals held her vehicle at gunpoint and opened fire on the vehicle she was in. When she was returning from her nephew’s wedding, the incident occurred.

She said Pakistan has become a place of “cowards, thugs, and the greedy” under Imran Khan’s rule, referring to the cricketer-turned-politician.

“On the way home from my nephew’s wedding, my car was shot at, and two men on a motorcycle kidnapped it!” My car had been replaced not long ago. My PS and driver were in the car. Is this how Pakistan appears to be under Imran Khan? “Welcome to the state of cowards, bullies, and greedy,” she exclaimed on Twitter.

She later indicated that no formal complaint had been filed. “It’s 9 a.m.” My PS and team haven’t had a wink of sleep in days, and the FIR has yet to be lodged at Shams Colony Police Station in Islamabad. The investigation hasn’t been completed yet. “I’m waiting for the FIR,” Reham said.

In a low-key ceremony in Islamabad in January 2015, Reham Khan, a British-Pakistani journalist, and Imran Khan married. That marriage, however, was short-lived, as they filed for divorce in October after only ten months of marriage.
