Days after the Joe Biden administration pledged an additional USD 800 million in military support to Ukraine, Russia warns the US of “unpredictable consequences” if the country continues to deliver weapons to Ukraine. According to the Washington Post, a diplomatic note delivered by Russia to the US this week warned that US and NATO transfers of the “most sensitive” weapons systems to Ukraine could result in “unpredictable consequences,” according to Aljazeera.

“We encourage the United States and its allies to put a stop to Ukraine’s reckless militarization, which has unpredictable consequences for regional and global security,” the note said. The cargoes were “fueling” the battle, according to the journal. Notably, the US military aid package included artillery systems, artillery ammunition, armoured personnel vehicles, and helicopters, bringing the total amount of US help to Ukraine since Russia’s intervention to more than USD 2.4 billion.
