Fear and confusion were captured on camera on a Washington, DC street where a shooting allegedly killed one teenager and injured several others, including a police officer.

The video was shared on Twitter by the National Fraternal Order of Police, a police organisation in the United States. It begins on a crowded street with multiple police trucks and uniformed men.

Then four shots are fired, and individuals are seen fleeing for cover in fear.

The footage then cuts to a corner where police officers appear to be watching over their injured colleague.

“Two adults and one juvenile were shot. A police officer was also targeted. The cop and two victims are being treated in a hospital. At this point, it looks that one victim, the juvenile, has died “In a briefing, Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert J Contee said.
