According to a News12 Brooklyn story, a woman in the United States has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly ran over a teenager with her car, backed it up, and hit him again. The incident happened in October of last year when Shirley resident Jennifer Nelson, 35, punched the 15-year-old kid in a parking lot as retaliation for her son being bullied, according to the site. The prosecutor who filed the criminal charges, Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney, claimed Ms. Nelson “took law into her own hands in absolutely terrible fashion.”

The adolescent is suspected by local authorities of taking part in a robbery that was directed at the woman’s son.

The child had a punctured lung, six broken ribs, and a fractured pelvis after she pushed him with the automobile, according to News12 Brooklyn.

Initially facing assault and reckless endangerment charges that were later increased.

According to the New York Post, on October 7, 2022, the woman assaulted a group of youngsters in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot while brandishing a knife and a bat.

Prosecutors told the newspaper that after the 15-year-old walked away, Ms. Nelson pursued him in her car. He was knocked to the ground when she smashed into him, they said, and then “proceeded to drive over the victim, up onto a curb, reversed, drove over the victim again.”

On March 21, she is expected to make her court appearance.
