In response to Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, the World Bank has said it will give $530 million more in assistance, increasing the total amount of aid provided to Ukraine to $13 billion.

The United Kingdom ($500 million) and the Kingdom of Denmark ($30 million) are funding the assistance, according to a statement from the World Bank.

According to the bank, $11 billion of the $13 billion in aid that has been given to Ukraine thus far has been completely disbursed.

Arup Banerji, Regional Country Director for Eastern Europe at the World Bank, estimates that the long-term costs of recovery and reconstruction in Ukraine over the next three years will total well over $100 billion.
